Tazewell County cattle producer Emily F. Edmondson of Tazewell was elected to the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors in December 2008.

Edmondson is vice chair of the VFBF Emerging Agriculture Enterprises Advisory Committee and is a member of the Burley Tobacco Advisory Committee and Membership Services Committee.

She owns and operates Fisher Cove Farm LLC with her son, John Fisher. She has served on the Tazewell County Farm Bureau board of directors for the past 10 years and is that organization’s immediate past president.

Edmondson served on the Virginia AgPAC board of trustees from 2003 to 2005 and is a past vice chair and board member of the Historic Crab Orchard Museum. She also is a member of Stras Memorial Episcopal Church in Tazewell and serves on several church councils.

She is married to Keith Everett Edmondson, who owns and operates a farm in Washington County. She has two grown children.
