Changing face of Virginia agriculture on Down Home Virginia
Virginia’s largest industry has seen major changes in the eight-and-a-half years since Down Home Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s award-winning television show, first began airing on cable and broadcast television stations across the state. One of the show’s April news items is the explosive growth of the local food movement; another is the maturing of Virginia’s wine industry.
April’s show will be the 100th episode of Down Home Virginia, which airs on 45 cable systems and three broadcast stations in Virginia, as well as nationwide at 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month on RFD-TV. It’s also available online at VaFarmBureau.org.
